A bullet was recovered from the handbag of a woman who
was about to board a flight to Muscat from the Thiruvananthapuram international
airport on Sunday morning.
Police identified the woman as Praseeda Arun, 26, of
Pathanamthitta.
The Central Industrial Security Force personnel
detected a foreign bullet, bearing the
mark ‘L2A2RG01’, during security checking. The woman told the officials that
her husband found
the bullet during a leisure trip in Muscat and she
unknowingly kept it inside her bag.
She was about to board a Jet Airways flight at 6.50 am.
The woman told the officials that she came to Kerala in September for
delivery and a three-month-old child was
with her.
Valiyathura police here registered a case against the
woman and she was later released on interim bail.
