Patna, Sept 18:
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has allowed operations of large aircraft such as Airbus 320 and Boeing 737 from Patna airport till October 31, an official said on Tuesday.
The body had earlier set an August 16 deadline. The authority first extended the date till August 31, then changed it to September 19 and now October 31.
“For the third time in the last one-and-half months, the AAI has deferred till October last the effective date of implementation of its order, reducing the runway length of the airport,” said an official of the State Government dealing with civil aviation.
Patna Airport Director Arvind Dubey said the AAI decided to extend its deadline to implement the revised runway distances at the airport
