ATA plea on old airport terminal

Air Travellers Association (ATA) president D. Varada Reddy has in a statement urged the government and the airport authorities to speed up development of facilities at old airport terminal to enable exporters to send their products from Visakhapatnam directly to countries abroad.
Naki Air and Air India have adequate cargo capacity.
It may be recalled that ATA conducted a round-table on ‘exports by air’ in September 2012 and in the context Naki Air CEO Rajan Nair based in Florida had offered to operate an exclusive cargo aircraft from UAE to Visakhapatnam and back effective from December 2012.
